IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Eligibility.
All Drivers :
• Must be between 25 - 70
• Have held a full licence for a minimum of 3 years
• Be free of any licence endorsements within the past 5 years (except 2 speeding offences or parking offences. Any driving convictions, accidents, (claims in the past 5 years), disabilities or medical conditions must be notified to us at the time of booking.
• The main driver must produce at the time of rental his/her full licence as well as additional identification proving their place of residence. (ie. Bank Statement, Utility Bill dated in the past 3 months)
• Photocopy/faxed licences are not acceptable
• Only drivers who are named on the documentation are Insured to drive the vehicle. Although additional drivers do not have to be present at the time of rental, we do however have to see their full licence.
• Additional drivers can be added to the insurance at a cost of £30.00 per driver.
2. Insurance
Fully comprehensive vehicle Insurance is provided. As the hirer of the vehicle you will be responsible for a £500 excess for each and every incident. This charge is payable by the hirer at the start of the rental period. It will be returned providing that the vehicle is returned on time, damage free, clean, all equipment present and full of fuel. No claims will be considered in respect of any loss or damage to personal belongings or effects of the hirer or any person or persons.
3. Deposit
At the time of booking we require a £ 150 per week non refundable deposit. The full balance being due 6 weeks before the hire date.
4. Cancellation By You
In the unfortunate circumstances that you need to cancel, the following loss of monies will apply : More than 42 days (6 weeks) Deposit only Between 42 - 15 days 50% of hire charge 14 days & less 100% of hire charge
5. Cancellation By Us
We reserve the right to cancel the hire at any time, including at the time of collection with regard to invalid licences or drivers not fitting our criteria.
6. Availability
We will at all times try to give you the vehicle that has been booked. But due to unforseen circumstances this is not always possible. We will however do our best to supply a substitute vehicle. Should this not be acceptable to you, or there are no vehicles available, the hirer shall have no claim of any kind against the company. We are only liable to refund any monies paid by you.
7. Rental Period
Pick-up will be from 3pm on Fridays and drop-off must be by noon on Fridays. Failure to return the vehicle on time also incurs a penalty charge of £50 per hour or part thereof.
8. Pick Up/Return
Our office is in Troon but pick-up and drop-off can be by mutual agreement at Glasgow/Prestwick Airports or any surrounding accomodation.
9. Breakdown/Accidents
In the event of a breakdown or accident, all vehicles are covered by 24 hr assistance. Repair or replacement costs under £50 will be reimbursed on the production of a receipt at the end hire.
10. Fines
All fines incurred by the hirer with regard to traffic laws or regulations are the responsibility of the hirer. The hirer also agrees to pay to the company, any costs incurred with regard to the recovery of such fines and penalties.
11. Fuel, Oil & Tyres
All vehicles are supplied with a full tank and must be returned full. Any shortfall will be charged to the hirer. All oil, water levels and tyre pressures are checked prior to the hire commencing but do require to be checked by the hirer once a week during the hire. Damage to the tyres (including punctures), wheels & wheel trims are not covered by the Companies Insurance and are therefore the hirers responsibility. Windscreen Cover is supplied although an excess does apply.
12. Equipment
All motorhomes include 2 gas bottles (1 full and 1 servicable), cooking utensils, crockery & outside table/chairs.
13. Cleaning
We expect the vehicle to be returned in the same condition as at the start of the hire period. Should this not be the case, a cleaning charge of £50 will apply. Chemical toilets should be emptied before return and a small charge will be applied in the event of it not being so.
14. Child Seats
We must have advance notice to provide these and all children travelling as passengers within the vehicle must conform to the current regulations. Children under 3 must be in correct restraint as must children aged over 3 and either under 12 or over 135cm in height.
15. Liability
The hirer agrees to use the vehicle for the sole use of domestic and social purpose and shall not carry any passengers in the vehicle for hire or reward. The hirer must use the vehicle in a reasonable and proper manner and will be liable for any damage fault or loss to or in the vehicle or it's fixtures and fittings as a result of the hirers negligance or misuse of the vehicle. The hirer shall at no time pass possession or custody of the vehicle to any other person. The company shall not be liable to make any payment to the hirer in respect of, or to indemnify, the hirer against loss, injury or damage sustained by the hirer or any third party as a result of the presence or use of the vehicle or as a result of any defects therein and in taking delivery of the vehicle the hirer shall be deemed to have satisfied himself that it is in all respects roadworthy and in proper and safe condition.
